With our vision centric product portfolio, our go-to market follows a dual approach: we scale the broader market with strategically developed standard products, while we accelerate individual customer wins through tactically executed, custom engineered solutions. We are currently looking for a Head of Engineering to lead our Embedded Engineering department and drive engineering excellence across our portfolio.
Our largest engineering hub is located in Čakovec, Croatia, where we have recently opened our brand-new FRAMOS Campus with state-of-the-art laboratories and manufacturing facilities. In this role, you will centrally lead our local engineering hub by ensuring alignment and common standards across all engineering teams.
Reporting directly to the Director of Embedded Engineering based in Čakovec, and with a dotted line to the Director Product & Technology in Munich, you will be accountable for the overall performance of the Engineering department and ensure reliable delivery of product development projects.
- You will lead our Engineering department of approximately 20 engineers,based in Čakovec, Zagreb and remotely in Croatia, including 4 direct reports at Team Lead level, and ensure consistent leadership, performance, and development across the organization.
- You will define and enforce engineering standards, governance, and development processes across teams.
- You will allocate and rebalance resources across teams and resolve prioritization conflicts according to FRAMOS’ go to market strategy.
- You will own department-wide capacity and capability planning (12–24 months), including hiring strategy, skills development, and succession planning.
- You will act as the final escalation point for cross-team and cross-domain technical decisions and trade-offs.
- You will drive continuous improvement of engineering practices, tools, and methodologies to enhance productivity and product quality.
- You will ensure strong cross-functional collaboration with Product, Technical Project Management, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain.
- You will ensure technical documentation is complete,accurate, and supports product usability, maintainability, and compliance.
